
Alexandra Morgan Carrasco, an American professional soccer player is a striker for San Diego Wave FC (NWSL) and is the captain of San Diego Wave FC. She was also co-captain of the United States women's soccer team from 2018 until 2020 along with Megan Rapinoe as well as Carli Lloyd. [8][9The 8-year-old Morgan was chosen by the Western New York Flash at number one in the 2011 WPS Draft. She had completed her studies at Berkeley in the early part of the year. Morgan also played for California Golden Bears. Morgan made her professional debut at the club , and also helped the team win its league championship. Morgan was only 22 at the time and one of the youngest players on the national team at the FIFA Women's World Cup 2011. The team finished second. In the 123rd minute of the semi-final match against Canada at the 2012 London Olympics she scored the game-winning goal. She finished 2012 with 28 goals, 21 assists, and Mia Hamm was the only American woman who scored both 20 and 20 goals. This made her the sixth-youngest U.S. player ever to reach 20 goals in one season. She was awarded the U.S. Soccer Female Player of the Year, and was the FIFA World Player of the The Year finalist. Morgan has also played a role in helping the United States win their titles at the 2015 as well as the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cups, where she was named to the Dream Team for both tournaments as well as winning the Silver Boot in 2019.
