Christopher Peter Meloni, an American actor who is well known for his character on the television show 'Law & Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to pursue a passion for acting. In the University of Colorado at Boulder it was where he studied acting. Although he worked in film and TV but his performances on the smaller screen are what brought him much popularity. He has the ability to portray each of the characters on behalf of the police as well as the other. This is what makes him so popular. He played the character of the serial killer on the first TV show he appeared in and then later played as an NYPD detective. The actor has been nominated several times for prestigious Emmy Awards and the PRISM Awards for his tiny screen performance. One of his most striking facial features is believed to be his striking blue eyes, which are considered as a signature and have aided in depicting tough characters that have charisma. He was named on People's list of Sexiest Men Alive in 2006.
